Markets
BDP Foods operates in four key destination markets for food exports: Russia, Southeast Asia, China and India. In each one we have our own office and a permanent executive who knows the local market, reducing commercial risk for our exporting partners.

Russia
Russia imported close to US$ 43.4 billion in food and agricultural products in 2025, a large and growing market for these goods.
Chile exports several hundred million dollars a year to Russia. Unlike Chilean shipments to the rest of the world, goods exported to Russia do not include mining products: the vast majority are agricultural and seafood products.
Having our own office and a permanent executive in Russia allows our exporting partners to build direct, long-term commercial relationships with the main importers, in a market where closeness and trust are key to doing business successfully.

ASEAN
With more than 670 million inhabitants, Southeast Asia (ASEAN) is a market with great potential for agri-food products.
It is a bloc made up of 10 countries: Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Brunei, Vietnam, Laos, Myanmar and Cambodia.
These are countries with growing per-capita income — projected to rise by close to 26% by 2033 — and an expanding middle class demanding more processed foods, dairy products and premium imported goods.

China
With only 7% of the world’s arable land and 6% of its water resources, China must feed close to 18% of the world’s population. In 2024 it imported food and agricultural products worth close to €188 billion.
Since 2004 the country has been a net food importer, and since then has maintained a growing trade deficit in the agricultural sector.
China’s growing urban middle class continues to drive demand for imported food, with increasingly diverse diets and higher demands for safe, quality products.

India
India imported US$ 8.4 billion in consumer-oriented agricultural products in 2024, and its food retail market is growing at close to 8.5% a year, driven by rising incomes, urbanization and new consumption habits.
With more than 1.4 billion inhabitants, India is one of the fastest-growing food markets in the world, with rising demand for imported value-added products.
Having our own office in India allows our exporting partners to develop direct commercial relationships with the country’s main importers.
